Day 2 of the Annual Conference on Financial Education commenced with Chase and Howard sharing their case study of collaboration between academia and private industry to create personal finance learning labs. Then Barbara presented on teacher professional development called boot camp. This session was shared with Mark on setting up personal finance labs. After morning tea, Julie ran an engaging session on financial literacy through the lens of famous sports people. The lunch session was with Barbara again. I found this a fascinating look at what you need to focus on in your finances in different age brackets. Ms Money had the after lunch spot, and shared her financial literacy musical. The final song is earn, save, share, spend and that was the message in the savings pig I won in the raffle that evening, so it is going to love with Ms Money! This session was shared with Joey, about edutainment. The final session with Stacy was about E learning. Another very interesting day, with much to bring home! The day was completed with dinner with the charming, winning team from CPA Canada.
