Press Conference with Minister of Finance

Minister Hoekstra spoke to representatives of the Dutch youth on the Thursday of Week van het Geld. In a room closed to parents and advisors he fielded questions in a press conference style, such as 'how does your family budget?' through to 'why does the Week van get Geld encourage us to save, but the country is in debt?'.

In a surprise move he announced that he plans to regularly visit schools to help spread the importance of financial literacy education and to keep in touch with the concerns of young people. Watch snippets of this conference here.
